Film Genre Research- F&F

The first film we chose was Fast and the Furious 1, which is an action film. There was not a lot told about the story in the beginning, as it was more of a lead in. There were plenty of film making techniques that were introduced in the opening shots, such as insert shots of the setting, as well as closeups of the cars, and drivers. Lastly there were over the shoulder and angle shots in the very beginning. In some of the shots you can tell how they were taken as well as what they were taken with such as the scene when the cars are racing against the truck you can tell that it was most likely used with a track or dolly. In the editing part of the movie there were a lot of short takes throughout the opening scene. Lastly there was a lot of mis-en-scene with the outfits that the construction workers were wearing as well as the cars that the drivers were driving throughout the scene. The films budget for the movie was 38 million and the film made 207.3 million. The film was  nominated for peoples choice award for favorite movie, mtv movie award for best male performance and mtv movie award for best action sequence. The movie won ASCAP film snd television music award, BMI film and tv awards, and Hollywood film awards.Image result for fast and furious 1 movie poster"
